EUPHRESCO III General Assembly, Madrid
PBRI is a partner on the EU Horizons EUPHRESCO III project, an international network of organisations that develop phytosanitary research programmes.
The EUPHRESCO III team members include ACIAR, APAARI, CABI, CFIA, CIHEAM-Bari, EUPHRESCO, INIA-CSIC, KHA, NIBIO, NVWA, PBRI, PFR, USDA.
The second General Assembly Meeting was held at the Botanic Gardens in Madrid on 2-3 April 2025, with the purpose of sharing the activities of the project working groups.
PBRI is the regional champion for Australia and its new Key Focus Areas will be used to shape the global strategic research agenda through the EUPHRESCO III project.
The EUPHRESCO III partners work together to enhance the coordination of national, regional and global phytosanitary research programmes in order to better align the research funding and policy making activities in their countries and regions.
The main activities undertaken over the period 2024-2026 are:
- Identification of common research and innovation priorities agreed among the participating national and regional R&I programs
- Implementation of multiannual joint calls, resulting in the commissioning of transnational collaborative R&I projects
- Supporting plant health policy development, technology development, market introduction and societal uptake of results
