PBRI Symposium 12 & 13 May 2026 – Save the date!
It’s that time again, we are busy planning for the next PBRI Symposium to be held in Melbourne on 12 &13 May 2026.
This will coincide with the UN declared International Day of Plant Health.
This biannual Symposium highlights PBRI’s $70 million investment in plant biosecurity research coordinated across Australia’s plant industries, including horticulture, forest plantations, grains, wine, sugarcane, cotton, and new and emerging plant industries.
The program will R&D activities delivered by PBRI’s partners including Better Border Biosecurity (B3) New Zealand, Euphresco, ACIAR, the Australian Plant Health Committee and Plant Health Australia.
A dedicated session will be included on future plant biosecurity leaders, included presentations and posters from up-and-coming leaders, studying or working in the field of biosecurity.
The program will be based on the PBRI’s key focus areas
- Early Warning and Risk
- Diagnostics and Surveillance
- Resilient Crop protection Systems
- Readiness and Recovery
We extend the invitation to everyone with an interest in Australia’s plant biosecurity including our plant industries, researchers, students and biosecurity experts.
